"Further Adventures of Lad" is the second book in a three-part series by Albert Payson Terhune. The first book, which told of the experiences of the beloved collie Lad, his life on a farm, small town living and Lad's thoughts on, of all things, dog shows, was well received by the general public. Terhune wrote in the forward to this book states that since the publication of "Lad: A Dog," over 1,700 people visited the grave where Lad was buried.
